Awana is a structured, Bible-based, international club for boys and girls (ages 3 years old through sixth grade) where trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material.  Each c

lub meeting is divided into the following three parts:

1. Game Time - a fun time featuring individual and team competition
   

2. Handbook Time - achievement-oriented materials with memorization and understanding of key Bible verses
   

3. Council Time - with awards and a Bible message
   

2 Tim 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, tightly dividing the word of truth.”

Why AWANA?

The pledge to the Awana flag describes the purpose of Awana best.  It says, “I pledge allegiance to the Awana flag, which stands for the Awana Clubs, whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him.”

What Makes Awana Unique?

Probably only one-third of the boys and girls who attend Sunrise Baptist’s Awana Club are from our chuch.  That means that two-thirds to three-fourths do  not attend our church.  We welcome boys and girls who do not attend church at all or attend very infrequently.

When is Our Club?

Our Awana Club is held each Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM during the school year.  We do not meet on certain holidays.  Please contact SUNRISE if you have any questions.
